Bowdon Elementary School - Robotics After School Program

Your donations has helped to inspire approximately 40 young people at Bowdon Elementary School. The money was used to purchase robotics kits. The students were challenged in the area of math and science, computers, building skills and much more. Thank you for giving back to the community of Bowdon. Who knows what spark you may have ignited in some young student because you chose to give!

Mission Statement: To provide financial assistance to enhance and enrich academic opportunities for Bowdon Elementary, Jonesville Middle, and Bowdon High School students.
Dear Friends:

Sometimes as an individual there is not much we can do to make a difference. But when we come together as a team, we can accomplish so much more!

With that thought in mind, a group of citizens and alumni interested in enhancing and enriching the education of students at Bowdon Elementary, Jonesville Middle and Bowdon High have formed the Bowdon Schools’ Educational Fund. Now we are reaching out to others who would be interested in this project.

We are seeking your help in establishing this fund which will be invested through the Community Foundation of West Georgia and which will be used to provide academic enrichment and remedial help beyond that provided by the state and the county.

We are proud of the accomplishments of the Bowdon schools.

Bowdon Elementary (click to view school page)
- 2009 Carroll County Scholar Bowl Champions
- Title I Distinguished School designation for the past six years

Jonesville Middle (click to view school page)
- 2009 highest 8th grade writing scores for the Carroll County system
- Four years of consistent achievement of CRCT math scores

Bowdon High (click to view school page)
- 2009 Governor’s Cup winner for outstanding SAT scores
- U.S. News and World Report Bronze Medal School
- Graduation rate was 12% above the state average

These accomplishments are a result of many factors including dedicated teachers, informed school leadership, a strong emphasis on enrichment and remediation and adequate funding to support the programs.

School funding from the state has decreased to the point that many of the remedial and enrichment opportunities employed to foster these have been eliminated. This record of achievement cannot be maintained without financial support.

Thank you in advance for your support of any amount!
